Garage Door System GuideGenie garage door openers are reviewed here through the SilentMax 750 evidence we can verify. The cited product record describes an ultra-quiet belt-drive opener with a steel-reinforced belt, a 3/4 HP DC motor, soft start and stop behavior, and a smartphone-control path through the Aladdin Connect retrofit kit. That makes this page most useful for homeowners comparing quiet attached-garage opener options and checking whether smart control is included or added after the fact.
Drive Type and Motor
The SilentMax 750 drives the door with a reinforced belt rather than a chain. Genie describes it as an ultra-quiet belt drive opener with a steel-reinforced belt. The belt lowers noise compared with a chain drive.
The opener uses a direct-current motor. Genie specifies a 3/4 HP DC motor described as a maintenance-free precision machined motor. The DC motor supports a soft start and stop.
Smart Features and Warranty
The SilentMax 750 does not include Wi-Fi in the box. Genie states you would need the Aladdin Connect retrofit kit to use the opener with your smartphone. The kit adds app control after the fact.
Genie backs the drive components for the long term. The opener carries a limited lifetime warranty for the motor and gearbox.
